Client work

Ask the assistant about your work

Get advice on a job, ask about your clients, keep the conversation, and share the parts you choose into a job.

4 minWorkspace owners, admins and operatorsReviewed September 29, 2026

Before you start

  • An owner, admin or operator role in a workspace with write access. Viewers can read and delete their own saved conversations but cannot ask. Every answer is an AI step and counts toward your workspace’s AI limits.

Ask from Home

Type in the box on Home and send. Under the box, choose what the conversation can read: General reads no workspace records, Across your clients reads summaries of this workspace’s records, and a client’s name reads only that client’s records. The choice stays with the conversation; to talk about another client, start a new one. What needs my attention? starts an Across your clients conversation.

Home

Read the answer

The answer comes first, in full. Recommendations are the assistant’s judgment, each with the assumptions it rests on. Check first marks settings in other products the assistant cannot look up. A question back to you comes last, just above the reply box. Open From your records to see what the answer took from your records, each with a link to the record. A recommendation is not evidence, an approval or a result, and the assistant never runs, changes or checks your automations.

Continue the conversation

Reply to correct an assumption, ask for an estimate or ask for detail. When you send, your message and the waiting answer come into view; when the answer arrives, its start is shown. If you have scrolled up to read, the page stays put and New reply takes you to the answer. Each answer reads the latest 12 messages of the conversation. Recorded facts win over anything said earlier. Your conversations are listed under Recent in the menu and in All conversations. They are private to you: teammates and the workspace owner cannot open them. Questions you asked in Slack show From Slack above the text.

Create a request from an answer

When you ask for a request, the answer can include a request draft. Choose Review and create, check what will be created, then choose Create request. One draft makes one request, whether you create it here or in Slack. Creating a request does not approve its scope or start any work.

Use it in a job

Select Use in a job. Under Where should this go?, choose a job that is still being scoped. Write Your instruction for the draft, tick up to six Messages to include (Read message shows each one in full), then select Review sharing. Nothing is shared yet. The review shows the destination, who can see it, and exactly what will be shared. Tick Share exactly this into this job, then select Share and prepare draft. Your instruction and the chosen messages become part of that job’s preparation, which owners, admins and operators can see, and AgentHub prepares a draft scope and checks for you to review. Nothing else from the conversation is shared. Going Back to change anything clears the confirmation. A client conversation shares only into that client’s jobs.

Or start a new request

Choose Start a new request in the same step, select Review sharing, check exactly what the form will contain, then select Open request form. The form opens with your instruction and the messages you chose, and the source set to Internal: it is your proposal, not the client’s message or their approval. Choose or add the client, edit, and select Create request. Nothing is saved before that.

Record a request

Verify it worked

  • Open the conversation from Recent and check that its context label (General, Across your clients, or the client’s name) is the one you chose.
  • After sharing, open the job’s preparation and check that its Sources show your instruction and only the messages you chose, marked as consultant-selected suggestions.

Common issues

No answer came back.

AgentHub never repeats an AI step on its own, so a lost answer is not charged twice. Its reserved cost stays on your usage. Ask again for a new answer; that is a new AI step.

The answer says it could not be used.

The AI replied in a form AgentHub could not check, for example citing a record it was not given. It was charged at its real cost and nothing was saved. Ask again.

I cannot send a message.

Wait for the current answer to finish. Viewers and read-only workspaces cannot ask; your saved conversations stay readable. A message with a password, token or API key is refused before it is saved or sent.

What happens when I delete a conversation?

Open More options (the three dots beside Use in a job) and choose Delete conversation. Its messages are removed for good, and an answer still on its way is not saved. Anything you shared into a job stays with that job, and AI usage already recorded stays on your usage.

I am joining a team and have conversations.

General conversations can stay with your own workspace and in your conversation export; agree to that on the invitation page. Conversations about your clients or workspace must be deleted first. Nothing moves to the team. Download yours from All conversations, Export yours.
