How AI usage limits work

What uses AI actions, how many each plan includes, the other limits that can stop AI, and what happens when a limit is reached.

What uses AI actions

Most AI steps use AI actions: an answer from the assistant, a request draft or revision, a Word or Excel file, a client update summary, or reading a workflow. Workflow checks use check credits instead. Request suggestions from the Slack channels you pick use a separate daily amount.

Most steps use one AI action. A large request can use more.

AI limits never stop your records, history, exports, approvals or manual work.

How many each plan includes

Everyone in the workspace shares one allowance. It counts the last 24 hours as they roll forward, so room comes back as earlier actions pass 24 hours, not at midnight.

  • Trial: up to 30 AI actions in any 24 hours.
  • Consultant: up to 100 AI actions in any 24 hours.
  • Agency and larger plans: up to 200 AI actions in any 24 hours.
  • Older Free workspaces: up to 30 AI actions in any 24 hours.

Other limits that can stop AI

Each workspace also has a limit on AI cost over any 31 days, and a trial has one for the whole trial. With steady use, this limit can stop AI before the daily count does. When a trial has used its AI allowance, AI stays off until you choose a plan.

Request preparation in the app has its own limit: 30 in any 24 hours to start. Owners and admins can change it, up to 200, in Methods & settings.

Some limits are shared by all AgentHub workspaces while real costs are measured, so AI can also pause for every workspace at once. These limits can change.

When a limit is reached

AgentHub refuses the AI step before anything is sent. The message says what stopped it and, where it can, when room frees up. Nothing is charged automatically.

Before a step starts, AgentHub checks that there is room for its largest possible size, up to 5 AI actions. Afterward it counts only what the step used; if the result is unknown, the full amount stays counted. So near a limit, a request can be refused even though it would probably have used one.

AgentHub does not show how many AI actions are left yet.

Verify it worked

  • After a refusal, read the message. It says what stopped the step.

Common issues

A request was refused, but the workspace has used little AI today

The request may need room for its largest possible size, the preparation limit in Methods & settings or a spending limit may be reached, or AI may be paused. The message says what stopped it.

Will I be charged for using more?

No. Nothing is charged automatically. At a limit, AI steps are refused until room frees up, and all other work continues. On a trial, AI stays off after the whole-trial allowance is used, until you choose a plan.
